MEDAPTUS ANNOUNCES RECORD QUARTER FOR SALES AND INSTALLATIONS

Adds 10 new clients in the First Quarter

BOSTON, MA — April 16, 2003 — MedAptus, a leading provider of point-of-care solutions for physicians, today announced the completion of a record quarter for both new sales and new physician users.

“We are very pleased with the progress our sales team has made during the first quarter. In addition to adding 10 new accounts, they were also successful at growing the pipeline by 141%,” commented Bryan Dieter, President and CEO. “We have already added 2 new accounts this month and look forward to continuing the positive trend in the second quarter.”

Among the new clients added in the first quarter was Tufts-New England Medical Center. “We selected MedAptus for a number of reasons,” said Dr. Michael Wagner, Chief of the General Medicine Department at Tufts-NEMC. “We found the product very easy to use, believe it will provide significant financial return and based on our discussions with other MedAptus clients believe that the company will make sure we are successful.”

“We were looking for a product that would support both our office-based visits as well as the inpatient rounding. We liked the functionality that MedAptus demonstrated to support both settings,” said Dennis Milligan, CEO of Western Surgical Group, Reno, NV.

In addition to the sales successes, the client services organization also enjoyed a record quarter for new physician deployments. “We had a very successful quarter for new physicians going live on the MedAptus solutions in the first quarter,” said Bill Marshall, VP of Client Services. “March was a particularly productive month for us, more than doubling the installs from any prior month and adding nearly 60 new physicians at one client alone.”
