Alliance Integrates the MedAptus
Charges In Hand™ Charge Capture Solution with Source Medical's
AdvantX™ Practice Management Application.

physicians announced a strategic partnership with Source Medical,
the world’s leading provider of outpatient information
solutions.
Under the agreement, MedAptus and Source Medical have agreed
to integrate their respective technology solutions. Working
in combination, this offering provides healthcare organizations
with an integrated enterprise-wide hand-held financial and clinical
information solution.

Utilizing the intuitive interface of a hand-held PocketPC, physicians
can easily identify encounter-specific procedure and diagnostic
codes. Physician-indicated charges are automatically reviewed
against national and state billing guidelines using a sophisticated
rule-set to assure confident, accurate and standardized physician
documentation at the point-of-care.
Charge information from the MedAptus handheld PocketPC is then
wirelessly transmitted to Source Medical’s AdvantX Practice
solution for submission. This process promotes the highest levels
of accuracy in encounter documentation, as well as greater billing
efficiency through the elimination of paper-based processes.
